Since most use canons i hope that someone may help me. I picked up a canon zoom 318 for a few dollars, everything seems fine on the outside. However, any cartridge i put in refuses to roll, the motor cannot turn it.
I then got a dummy cartridge(film having being removed) and it works fine. Just not when i put a fresh cartridge in.
I examined it carefully without taking it apart, and everything seems to be doing it's job. Do these motors loose umph?
Also, it is in pretty immaculate condition.
Any ideas?

the film is actually moved by the pulldown claw and not by the turning wheel. is it really moving the way it should?

Yeah the claw works, just as i suppose it should, thats what i cannot work out, the camera appears immaculate. I have tried two cartridges, and a dummy. It definetely will not pull film.
I'm stumped
